UC Riverside snapped an eight-game losing streak against Loyola Marymount with a 3-2 win at Page Stadium. Highlanders had last beaten the Lions in May of 2014 at The Plex, while their last win at Page Stadium came in February of 2010, behind Matt Andriese.
Connor Cannon was selected by San Francisco, in the 17th Round of the 2019 MLB Draft, and is off to a hot start with the Giants' Rookie Team in Arizona. Through his first 17 games, Cannon has 7 HR and 21 RBI, with a slash line of .323/.405/.692

Alex Fagalde, a member of the 2017 Draft Class, from UC Riverside, is moving up the chain in the St. Louis Cardinals' farm system, with a 1.11 ERA through 32 innings with AA Springfield. Fagalde was a 30th Round pick.
